Description: The Moth Nature Writing Prize invites writers aged 16 and above to submit original, unpublished prose or poetry up to 4,000 words that explores their relationship with the natural world. The competition celebrates exceptional literary merit in nature writing. The 2025 judge is Mark Cocker, a renowned author and naturalist. Winning entries will be published online by The Irish Times.

Additional Info: First prize includes €1,000 and a week at The Moth Retreat in Ireland; second prize is €500; third prize is €250. Entries must be submitted in English and be entirely the entrant's own work.
