Description: NACLO is an annual competition where high school students solve complex linguistic puzzles using logic and analytical reasoning. No prior knowledge of linguistics or foreign languages is required. The contest introduces students to the field of computational linguistics, highlighting the diversity and structure of human language. Top performers may qualify for the International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL).

  • Open Round: January 23, 2025

  • Invitational Round: March 13, 2025

Grade Levels: Grades 6–12
