Description: Copper Canyon Press offers a remote internship program for individuals passionate about poetry and literature. Interns gain hands-on experience in various aspects of nonprofit publishing, including editing, marketing, fundraising, and publicity. The program provides a comprehensive understanding of the operations within a nonprofit press, fostering skills in both solo and collaborative projects.
Dates: Two sessions annually: January–June (apply Oct 1–Nov 1) and July–December (apply Mar 15–Apr 15)
Grade Levels: High school graduates and above
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Location Requirements: Applicants must reside within North American time zones; the internship is conducted remotely. Additional Info: Interns are expected to work 24–32 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Applicants should have strong writing and proofreading skills, experience in independent research, and a passion for poetry or literature. Access to reliable internet and a personal computer is required.
