YoungArts National Arts Competition

Cost: Paid ($35 application fee); financial aid available upon request.
Description: YoungArts is a prestigious national competition that recognizes talented young artists across 10 disciplines, including writing, visual arts, and design. Applicants submit portfolios or audition materials, which are reviewed by esteemed professionals in their respective fields. Winners receive cash awards, mentorship opportunities, and access to a lifelong network of artists.
Dates: Applications open July 22, 2025, and close October 7, 2025. Winners will be announced on November 24, 2025.
Grade Levels: Grades 10–12 (or ages 15–18 as of December 1, 2025)
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Location Requirements: U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or individuals legally able to receive taxable income in the U.S.
Additional Info: Winners with distinction are invited to National YoungArts Week in Miami, where they participate in masterclasses and showcase their work. High school seniors may also be nominated for the U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts program.
