Description: The Voice of Democracy is a national audio-essay competition sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), inviting high school students to express their views on patriotic themes. Participants write and record a 3–5 minute essay addressing the 2026 theme, “How Are You Showing Patriotism and Support for Our Country?” The contest emphasizes the development of critical thinking and public speaking skills, offering students a platform to voice their perspectives on American democracy.
