Tupelo Press Dorset Prize

Cost: Paid ($30 entry fee); no financial aid


Description: The Dorset Prize is an annual poetry manuscript competition open to writers worldwide. The winner receives a $3,000 prize, a two-week residency in Washington, publication by Tupelo Press, and 25 copies of the winning book. Finalists are also considered for publication. All entries are judged anonymously.


Dates: Submissions accepted from October 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025


Grade Levels: Open to all; high school students are eligible
