Description: Polyphony Lit is an international, student-run literary magazine that publishes poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction by high school students aged 14–18. Each submission receives personalized editorial feedback from trained peer editors, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes growth. Selected works are featured in the magazine’s annual volume and may be nominated for the Claudia Ann Seaman Awards for Young Writers.
Dates:
Submissions for Volume 21: Open July 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026
Seasonal Contests: Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring; each with specific submission windows and a cap of 200 entries
Claudia Ann Seaman Awards: Nominees selected from published works annually
Grade Levels: Grades 9–12 (ages 14–18)

Additional Info: Submissions must be original and in English, with poetry limited to 80 lines and prose to 1,800 words. All work is blind-juried and submitted via Submittable. Winners of seasonal contests receive publication, editorial feedback, and a scholarship to Polyphony Lit’s editorial training course, which may lead to a position on the editorial staff.
