Description: The Gutenberg Award, presented by the Graphic Communications Education Association (GCEA), recognizes exceptional student work in graphic communications. Students can submit entries in three categories: Print Media, Web Publishing, and Photography. The competition emphasizes student-driven projects, requiring that students be responsible for at least 90% of the work. Submissions are evaluated by industry professionals, and top entries are showcased at the GCEA Annual
Conference.

Grade Levels: Grades 6–12 (Middle and High School students)
Skill Level: Intermediate
Location Requirements: USA only
Additional Info: Each educational institution may submit up to 15 entries per contest period. Awards include certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each category, with potential Best of Show honors. Entries must be submitted through an instructor who is a GCEA member - be sure to check with your teacher(s)!
